Consume less salt and oil-
You should avoid sour, salty, deep fried and fermented foods in excess at all costs. These things not only affect the joints but also harm other organs.
Avoid diet and exercise-

You should avoid eating and drinking that increase Vata. Diet such as dry and stale food and activities such as excessive exercise, staying awake for long hours, stressful lifestyle etc. should be avoided.
Joint pain treatment in ayurveda
Get healthy fats-
Use only ghee, sesame oil, olive oil etc. in your food. Healthy fats are found in these things, which are essential for overall health, including the joints.
Abhyanga massage is a better way-

It is a better remedy for all types of joint pain. Sesame oil, mustard oil, castor oil are some of the oils which are easily available in the kitchen and can be applied on the joints for pain relief. Some Ayurvedic oils that can help with pain are Mahanarayana Tailam, Nirgundi Tailam, Kottamchukdi Tailam, Sahacharadi Tailam, Dhanvantram Tailam etc.
Turmeric for Joint Pain-

Turmeric is an Indian spice easily available in Indian kitchens. Turmeric contains an important compound called curcumin that provides anti-inflammatory benefits for joint and knee pain.
Ginger for Joint Pain-

This powerful root is also found and used in kitchens around the world. Daily consumption of ginger provides antiseptic properties that help in reducing joint pain, swelling and inflammation. It can be easily used by using it in tea, consuming it in powdered form, applying it as a paste on your joints and also in the form of oil.
Herbs are also effective-
Some Ayurvedic herbs that work well for joint pain are- shalaki, ashwagandha, nirgundi, rasna, haridra (turmeric), shunthi (ginger), etc.
