Our body’s immune system itself becomes weak and our body starts getting sick. For this reason, rheumatoid arthritis also occurs. Ayurvedic treatment is also effective in rheumatoid arthritis.

Tendons and ligaments are meant to connect bones. The immune system starts attacking the tendon and ligament itself. Due to which rheumatoid arthritis starts and pain starts in the joints of the bones.

How to Diagnose Rheumatoid Arthritis?

The rheumatologist will examine your symptoms, medical history and examine you accordingly. You may be asked to have blood tests. If the blood test reports 60 to 70% showing the presence of rheumatoid factor (an abnormal antibody, a protein that attacks healthy tissue), you have an 80% chance of having RA or other inflammatory diseases.

Other blood indicators that may indicate the presence and level of inflammation in the body include:

  • Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR)
  • Tumor necrosis factor-alpha
  • C-reactive protein (CRP) levels

Rheumatologists will also examine X-rays, ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging scans of the joints to determine whether rheumatoid arthritis is the cause of the erosion.

No single test confirms whether a person has rheumatoid arthritis. Instead, your rheumatologist will recommend a combination of tests to make an accurate diagnosis. If you are diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, you will need to work with your rheumatologist to create an effective treatment plan based on your current stage of rheumatoid arthritis.
