What are the causes of diabetes?

Because glucose goes to every cell along with insulin to generate energy for work. 95% of people with diabetes suffer from type 2 diabetes. Obesity, heredity, difficulty in producing insulin, this type of problem can cause diabetes.

The main reason behind this is the hectic life. Due to their busy lifestyle, many people are unable to pay attention to their health, due to which they become diabetic due to reasons like not sleeping on time, eating outside food. The number of diabetic patients is increasing rapidly. Also, many people do not pay attention to their diet due to work stress, which can increase the risk of diabetes.

How many types of diabetes are there?

There are mainly two types of diabetes. In the first type (Type-1), insulin is partially or completely destroyed in the body. In the second type (Type-2), obesity blocks the body’s ability to produce insulin. As a result, the blood sugar keeps rising. Most of the diabetic patients in India are of the second type.

The amount of carbohydrates in the food should be limited, there should be fiber in the diet. Bakery products and fast food should be avoided in the diet. Fresh fruits and vegetables should be used in food. Have food two and a half to three hours before sleeping. Instead of having two full meals, eat small meals every 3-4 hours. The diet should be low in calories and nutritious. Diet plan should be done only on the advice of the doctor. Along with this, exercise is also very important. Most importantly, diabetes can be controlled if treatment is started at the right time.

What precautions should be taken to prevent diabetes?

Many people believe that diabetes is only genetic; It means that it can happen only if it has happened to someone in the house, but it is not like that at all. Diabetes can also occur due to our poor lifestyle and not exercising. To prevent diabetes, keep checking sugar from time to time. Reduce the amount of carbohydrate in your diet and increase the amount of protein and fiber, exercise for one and a half hours a day. Reducing the amount of chapatti, roti, rice and increasing the intake of pulses, leafy vegetables, broken pulses, fruits etc. can be helpful in preventing diabetes.
